What is your job title, and what does that position entail? 

My job title is Production Technician II. Some parts of my position involve the assembly of jobs that come through our production line, the ability to be flexible in my skills with what I can accomplish and to continually learn and develop my skills with time.

How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from? A little history of how you got involved with Olympus?

I have only been working with Olympus Controls since June 2021. Not very long at all, but I just moved to the area from North Carolina. I got recommended to the job by a current employee of the company.

What do you like best about working at Olympus?

One of the best things about Olympus is the challenging variety of jobs we acquire. Every day is different.

Describe a little of your past history.

I moved to the Vancouver, WA area in the beginning of June from North Carolina. My last job was supervising a machine shop were we built automatic webbing cutter machines.

Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of work?

A few of my hobbies include riding my electric longboard around Portland, building and flying FPV racing drones, working on/modifying cars, and going camping in my custom-built trailer.

What are some key lessons you have taken from your career thus far?

One lesson I’ve learned so far is to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

What is one thing your customers might find surprising about you?

Customers might find the fact that I have a degree and am a certified Avionic Technician.
