Molly Tegman

What is your job title, and what does that position entail?  
I am currently working out of the Oregon Headquarters Office as an Office Administrator and am also a part of the Human Resources Department.  I have a wide variety of job duties, everything from payroll and benefit management to reporting, accounting and everything in between.

How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from?
I have worked at Olympus Controls since September 2001!  Where has the time gone?!  I actually found the job posting on my high school bulletin board and started fulfilling leads and counting inventory on a part time basis.  From there, I worked remotely on reports and came into the office when I was home on college breaks. I came on full time when there was a Customer Service Position available. In 2010, I started to transition into the Office Admin/HR Role and have very much enjoyed being part of all the different areas of the company.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?
I believe being an organized, perfectionist that is truly devoted has played a significant part in all of the positions I have (or had) at Olympus Controls.  There is a lot of detail work with all that I am involved in, which happens to be something I love!  Personally, I thank both of my parents for teaching me the characteristics of a person with a strong work ethic and being dedicated to a company and at the same time I am so grateful to work for a company that is extremely loyal and supportive to their employees!

What do you like best about working at Olympus?
The best thing about working at Olympus Controls is that I get to work with a talented group of people that all contribute to the good of the company.  It’s been really exciting to watch the company grow from about 8 people to nearly 50 and actually it’s been rewarding to grow personally at the same time!  Everyone here has created some unforgettable memories together!

What was your first job ever?
My first job was at a sporting goods store, GI Joes.  I started as summer help and then I moved into the apparel department.  Now, my second job was at a Chili’s restaurant, and that is where the more entertaining stories come from.  Yes, I fainted the first day on the job!  I wasn’t feeling well before I started, but knew I could NOT miss my first day of work, so I went in anyways and ended up creating quite a scene.  I overcame the embarrassment and returned to work the next day : )

Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of work?
Camping!  My family loves to go camping all over Oregon and riding our ATV’s/Side by Side in the Dunes.  We are hoping to plan an out of state road trip with the trailer this summer or next.  We are also HUGE Green Bay Packer Fans, so football season is always exciting at our house!
